October Glow
This quilt is my third effort at eliminating everything I found unsatisfactory in the original procedure. Starting from the center, I designed and stitched one segment of the pie-wedge at a time, put all twelve up on the wall in a circle, and decided what to do for the next segment. Truly a design-as-you-go project!
Everglades Fireworks
Adapting Judy Martin’s “Meteor Shower” block involved resizing patches to create the desired explosive kaleidoscopes The custom fireworks quilting pattern Linda came up with (including crystals!) makes the whole quilt seem to vibrate.
